Religion

"Religion classes were held in the open during the morning and part of the afternoon, the remainder of the afternoon being devoted to recreation.  The chapel was a large magnolia tree whose limbs formed a canopy for the Blessed Sacrament.  Mass was said here daily during the two weeks of camp.  In the evening the Blessed Sacrament was transferred to a repository in the living room of the [Pinckney] home." - Catholics in South Carolina: A Record by Richard C.
