Constitution of the Diocese of Charleston, 1826

John England issued an official constitution that established the rules by which the diocese would be governed.

The publication, "The constitution of the Roman Catholic Churches of the States of North-Carolina, South-Carolina and Georgia: which are comprised in the Diocess of Charleston and Province of Baltimore, U.S.A.: as fully agreed to and accepted, after repeated discussion, by the clergy and the several congregations and regularly confirmed by the bishop," was printed at the office of Philosophical and Classical Seminary, in 1826.
